Nancy Busby

Nancy is the sixth child of Edward and Hazel (Shoemaker) Busby. She has resided in Marshallton her entire life. She attended Marshallton School and graduated from Downingtown Sr. High School. Nancy later received an Associates Art degree in medical business from Goldey Beacom College, Wilmington, Delaware.


She is a member of the Marshallton United Methodist Church where she has served as trustee, treasurer and chaired bazaars and dinners. In the 1980’s she started “Concert on the Green.” These concerts were free to the public.


Over the last 53 years she has worked for 30 years as a dental assistant and business manager and 23 years as a medical assistant and office business manager. Nancy started Holiday Cottage & Interiors, which offers gifts and crafts on the weekends during the holiday seasons, in the 1990’s and which continues to the present. In 2003 she was awarded the Chapel of Four Chaplains Legion of Honor Award for continuing the West Bradford Memorial Day Parade after Mr. Harry Perdue retired.
