Mary Anna Cann Evans

Mary was born at home on March 5, 1931 in the village of Marshallton, PA. She is the daughter of Merrill B. Cann and Abbie S. Cann. She attended Marshallton Elementary School for 8 years, then Westtown School for two years. Mary returned to West Chester High School where she met her future husband, Duke Evans. She then attended Harcum Jr. College in Bryn Mawr. Mary married Duke on August 4, 1951, and they have 4 sons, 6 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
